Solar4business, new trends and innovations in solar energy

Following the Solar4Business event organized in 2016, IMS Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Municipality of Hesperange, proposed a new meeting for companies interested in the development of solar capital. A gold-certified Klimapakt municipality, Hesperange, is an example of its initiatives and advancements in the field of energy and sustainable development.

The Solar4Business event provided an opportunity to inform companies in Luxembourg about new trends, innovations, and opportunities in solar energy. About thirty people attended the event.
Speakers from Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg came to share their expertise and experience. Myenergy presented the Luxembourg Government's new call for tenders for power plants. Enovos showed the example of energy cooperatives and feedback from the first national call for tenders; Stephan Wyss of Guiseppe Fent A.G. was able to explain his point of view as an architect on the impact of climate change on building design; Immanuel and Maximilian Hengstenberg of SEnerCon were able to demonstrate the need to anticipate the control of heating installations in digitized buildings.

The Klimapakt, a quality management system

Klimapakt is an initiative for a sustainable policy in the areas of climate change, renewable energies, and mobility. The municipality of Hesperange has already reached the 3rd and last step (75%), set by the climate pact, corresponding to the "gold" certification. It has also achieved certification for its commitment to air quality.  It shows the way with 80 measures currently in place in the fields of construction, supply, mobility, etc.

IMS Luxembourg supports municipalities and companies on the national territory on the communication and collaboration component of the Klimapakt. The objective of IMS is to initiate new partnership models, promote dialogue with all stakeholders in the territories, and make initiatives and good practices in the field of sustainable development visible in Luxembourg and Europe. IMS thus encourages the implementation of innovative projects and the protection of the environment, such as, for example, studying the ways of using connected objects to optimize the energy consumption of companies and municipalities.
