This 29 February 2020 will be the occasion to celebrate the first anniversary of the Pickitup citizen initiative, launched on 1 March 2019 by Didier Picard.
On the occasion of this grand celebration, the association will carry out a waste collection action in the Alzette valley. The event will take place in the Agora of Neumunster Abbey from 9.30 am. Volunteers will walk two signposted routes in the Paffental and Grund districts along the banks of the Alzette during the morning. At the end of these, the results of the collections will be analyzed and sorted out to be revalued.
A fair will be held in the Agora, presenting projects and initiatives with an eco-responsible vocation.
This event is part of the 25th anniversary of the inscription of Luxembourg and its old quarters and fortifications in the World Heritage Register. UNESCO supports the action.
