Tarkett's motivations to participate in IMS Luxembourg's activities:

Tarkett has been present in Luxembourg for many years and has anchored its Research and Innovtion activities at Wiltz and one of its largest vinyl floor production plants in Lentzweiller.

We decided to join IMS to further strengthen our integration in our territories with actors and institutions committed to sustainable development. Cooperation and the development of partnerships are core values of the Tarkett Group and we expect to find with IMS the platform for exchange and progress of Luxembourg companies. Together we want to bring solutions to societal and ecological issues and to move towards a more respectful society and the needs of our communities.

Tarkett's CSR policy:

Faced with the challenges ahead, climate change and resource scarcity, we need to rethink the way we design and produce flooring. That's why sustainability is an integral part of our corporate vision.

As a member of the Ellen McArthur Foundation, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations Global Compact, we strive to ensure that our products and industrial activities do not impact or even positively impact people and the environment at all stages of the life cycle.

Tarkett's CSR actions and frameworks:

Successful transition to the circular economy

Implementing a circular economy implies moving from a model that favors the unique use of products to that of a virtuous cycle of reuse, making the end of life of one product the beginning of another. Because we are convinced that we must aim higher than the zero impact on the environment, we have adopted the Cradle to Cradle model of virtuous circuit design. It advocates the use of quality materials, the responsible management of resources, the creation of spaces promoting well-being and quality of life and the reuse and recycling of products and materials to have a positive impact on the planet and its inhabitants.

Social responsibility

Tarkett seeks to apply sustainable best practices by putting people first. It starts with the respect of our people and the communities in which we operate. Tarkett's spirit of social and societal responsibility is reflected in four guiding principles and the actions taken in the different entities of the Group:

  • Security, respect and integrity of relationships between people,
  • Promoting diversity, empowerment and development
  • Establishing a proactive dialogue with employees,
  • Commitment to local communities
