Luxembourg Sustainability Forum

Over the years, this event has become the unmissable meeting place for Corporate Social Responsibility in the Grand Duchy. This is an opportunity for the network to bring together its members, the various stakeholders, the general public and many exceptional guests to inspire, decrypt and analyze the news of sustainable development.

 

On 25 April 2019, the 8th edition of the Luxembourg Sustainability Forum organised by IMS Luxembourg (Inspiring More Sustainability) took place.

This edition welcomed more than 300 participants and 35 speakers to the Cercle Cité, with a rich and innovative program! The Luxembourg Sustainability Forum was in short:

DISCOVER the Plasticène era and the challenges of ultra-plastic in figures and highlights through the educational exhibition of IMS in partnership with The Plastic Pollution Coalition.

BE SEIZED by the alchemy of Washed Up, an eco-artistic exhibition by Alejandro Duran that questions our relationship to consumption and objects. Find here the interview of the artist by RTL....

LIVING the unprecedented common ambition of 54 companies at the official ceremony "Single-Use Plastics: Choose to refuse". Find out more about the commitment of the signatories of the Zero Single-Use Plastic Manifesto.

KNOW how to do without ultra-jetable plastic with the participation of more than 10 stakeholders, actors in the field, to know the alternatives.

INTERROGATE and understand how stereotypes are embedded in our practices and behaviours, feeding inequality between women and men at the very heart of the business world. Exciting debates with the subject specialists Inès Dauvergne, Raphaël Liogier and the testimony of Anne-Sophie Minaldo.

HEAR the call for urgent action to keep global warming below 1.5°C.  Renowned international experts Hans-Otto Pörtner, Co-Chair of IPCC Working Group 2 and Alexander Farsan, World Head of Science-Based Targets, urge companies to set targets in line with what science tells us. Testimony of the BNP Paribas Group CSR Director involved in this process.
