As part of its action to support community life, the CLAE invites you to share the expertise of the law firm Felten & Associés, which in 2017 was very involved in the publication of the Guide for community life.
27 march 2019, 6.30pm at CLAE (26, rue de Gasperich, Luxembourg)
Me Felten, lawyer at the Luxembourg Bar, will shed light on a series of questions related to liability that remain insufficiently taken into consideration in the context of associative action:
What is legal liability? What does the legal personality of the association imply? Is the board of directors solely responsible in a non-profit association? What exactly is its responsibility? Does the discharge voted by the General Assembly release the directors from any liability? What should an association do to insure itself against risks when organizing an event? What is the legal value of a discharge when an association works with children? Between mandate and delegation, what kind of power can be entrusted?
Anita Helpiquet, CLAE
"The partnership with Felten&Associés that we were able to initiate through Part&Act has really allowed us to combine our field experience with the expertise of legal professionals. Thanks to this partnership and the commitment of an entire team, we have finalized the work of publishing the Guide for Associative Life, which was particularly close to our hearts."
This guide is now used as a reference by many associations.
Delphine Hames, FELTEN & Associés
"Through collaboration with CLAE, Felten & Associés wanted to move towards the creation of human values beyond philanthropy, through the sponsorship of skills, in this case, legal skills. We note that this collaboration has had and continues to have many internal, external and broader societal benefits, such as expanding the firm's networks and partnerships and ecosystem to unexpected and innovative collaborations, or breaking down the barriers between the private and not-for-profit sectors through their interaction."
