For now six years, the dayCARE helped more than 1,000 high school students to discover Luxembourgish companies and to collect more than 125,000 euros in donations for humanitarian action.
Philanthropy is not the only motivation of the participants: the initiative is successful because of curiosity.
The youngsters are curious to discover future potential employers and the companies are interested to meet motivated young people looking to uncover their professional paths.
On the 26th of October 2016, dayCARE is giving all companies the chance to welcome one or more students for a day, in order to offer them a professional orientation and to present their jobs. On their page www.daycare.lu, CARE is coordinating companies and students in order to assure themselves that the youngsters can apply for the company of their choice.
The youth are investing themselves in the dayCARE of their own free will, and it is this engagement that is rewarded by the company by a little donation to CARE, who supports the training of young midwives in Niger and Laos.
In order to fill in the gap between schools and companies, dayCARE is awakening mutual curiosity. It is them who are opening up new horizons for us. Stay curious!
