Christmas Concert of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde: whirlwind of emotions for Childrens of Cap-Vert

Full Thursday evening at the Philharmonie for the traditional Christmas Concert of our member, SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, which brings together, like every year, SOS Friends and music lovers. This charity concert, that was held in the presence of S.E. Sir Carlos Fernandes Semedo, Ambassador of Cap-Vert in Luxembourg, is dedicated to projects supported in the archipel by the Luxembourg association.

Marjolijne Frieden, President of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, has introduced the evening and talked about the tragedies that concern all of us, the war in Syria and hurricane Matthew in Haiti. In these two countries, SOSVE tries to protect children and provide basic needs to these communities. Then the SOSVE' President addressed Cap-Vert's projects, where progress is tangible and where SOS has made a difference in the field of children's rights for more than 30 years. Much remains to be done for young people as shown in the short documentary realized last november by Pascal Becker of RTL, during the visit of the Director of SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, Sophie Glesener, and SOS Ambassador and Sponsor, Monica Semedo.
